    Hey -

So I reinstalled WinXP Media Center 05 (from the HP disk) and it installed fine. Got all of the drivers running BUT no sound!

I installed UAA and rebooted and then tried to install the Conexant audio drivers and it said that it could not find any media device or something...

    Windows update is updated 100%..

    What must be the problem??

    Any help is MUCH appreciated!

I bet there is an exclamation mark on one of the pci devices. When I downgraded my laptop to XP, I got a yellow exclamation mark on one of the pci devices. I took a guess and update it with the sound driver and it worked!
