ok basically, i got an nc6400 but had some problems with it, so am probably going to return it. now found the dv2188ea and am looking to get that.

i think its better value for money than the nc6400. its about the same size as the nc6400 but comes with better processor, more ram and bigger hd. the only thing that i am aware of, is that the nc6400 has a better graphics card ( 512MB x1300) where as the dv2188ea has a 128 MB Nvideo shared.

has anybody had any expereince with it?

Also i want to know weather this laptop can be docked. On the hp site it says cable docking. What does this mean?

any help will be greatly appreciated!

There are universal docks, but they tend not to be as good as the ones you'll get with business class notebooks.

    ok kool.
but on the hp site, it says in the external i/o ports that there is a cable docking port?

is that for universal docks, or is it one for the HP

Typically the universal ones use the USB port. There is a port connector. It can be used to hook to something like this, but they don't offer a video solution other than whats on the notebook.
