    hi guys
i wanted to know is there any way to disable my laptop from going into C3 state?
it makes high pitch noises when on battery, and after trying many solutions, the one and only one which worked, was by using rmclock and disable the setting in C3 where it says that "enable cpu to goto low power mode"....
the second i disable that option and hit apply, my laptop becomes as quiet as it can be..
BUT...after disabling it, if i goto watch a video, or try to maximize/minimize a window, or open a menu( with the xp fade effect), my display messes up big time....
is there any way to prevent this??
    please someone help !!
    thanks a lot

EDIT: oh btw i have the amd turion x64 processor
