I just chatted with an HP representative and was told the the dv2500t notebook does not come with an HDMI port. However, I've seen posts with people who have the port. And when configuring the broadband version it specifically tells you about HDMI.
Anyone know whats going on here? Should I talk to another HP rep?

you get the HDMI port if you order the laptop with the 8400M GS graphics card

The laptop I've got says she's wrong.
HP often gives the wrong information, unfortunately. Maybe some do, and some don't, but the way I've seen it is when you order the x3100 integrated graphics you get a 3rd usb port, and when you order 8400m gs you get an HDMI port.
They also don't seem to know which laptops have SPDIF. It looks like the HDMI models do not have the SPDIF headphone jack in front. They only send the digital sound over the HDMI cable. Since I use a HDMI to DVI cable, that kind of sucks. They should standardize a little if only prevent some of the confusion. -
I had one (for about a month). It does. I might have pictures someplace.
Without the upgrade the hole has a USB port, so going with HDMI kills one USB port. I kind of miss my dv2500t, but HP is morons so I live with it.
