Anyone know the life for the different batteries available for the Pavilion dv2500t? Namely, 6-cell, 6-cell extended, and 12-cell. I'm just trying to figure out if the extra bulkiness and overall awkwardness and ugliness of the 12-cell is worth it.

    Thanks!

I roughly get 1.5hrs on mine medium usage with wireless on, surfing the net, watching dvd's

You usually lose 1% of battery life every 1minute more or less.

ive already said this before but i can squeeze about 3 hours with the extended 6 cell and nvidia. I'm talking super efficient usage though.

I have been running my 12cell for just over two hours so far tonight on a 'performance' mode. Still has about 1 hr 40 mins left according to battery meter. I will see how it does after another 2 hours. Im running firefox, IM chat program, wireless, music player, filezilla and text editor, oh and gimp graphics program. For me its worth a little bit of extra weight, really its not much compared to the HP 17" I have for work!

12 cell gives me 4-4.5 hours, while 6 cell only give me 2 hrs roughly, but 12 cell also weigh much heavier....

I want to avoid the 12-cell as it is just too bulky and awkward (and I like to sit my laptop on my lap). I'll probably go with the extended 6-cell, but am a bit disappointed with the battery life.

Still going strong at full power and about 30 mins left. If your going to get the extended battery, get it with the order and not after. I tried to add one after I place an order for the 12 cell and they wanted to charge me $130 for it, but when you order at the same time as your latop you can get both for that price...go figure.
