    Hi all,

Just received a dv2500t - am currently using an hp zt3000, which I've loved.

Something a little disconcerting to me is the keyboard flex on the dv2500t. If I press on the keyboard block next to the "left" arrow key, the entire keyboard bends down with little effort.

Likewise, tapping moderately on the arrow keys results in visible corner flex of the keyboard.

Is my keyboard attached properly... is this flex typical? Thanks!

wow, i just noticed it as well, guess its part of the design. Still, i find the keyboard is fine, in some cases, the flex kind of acts like a cushion (buffer zone) for my fingers. (I'm trying to look at the positive aspects of this newly discovered detail)

Pressing on that block causes a little flex in the board - nothing that concerns me though. However, moderate tapping on the arrow keys causes no visible flex.

    +1

My arrow keys used to show flex and produce different louder clicking noises, until I uninstalled and re-installed the keyboard properly. Apparently, not all of the keyboard was secured with all of the case tabs.

    for keyboard removal and replacement.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I actually stopped into the nearby Best Buy to check out their dv2500t + verves, to check the keyboards. The amount of flex varies, but I think mine has a bit more than typical. The down arrow key definitely makes a weird snapping noise. I'll try the keyboard re-install.

(On a separate note, the verve seems to have a completely different keyboard - the keys are smooth, not matte-finished, and the keyboard had the least flex of all the 14.1" dv2500 variants.)
