My computer is dv2500t, CPU 7500 (2.2Ghz), Ram 2GB, Geforce 8400GS, HDD 160gb, win vista home pre. I play fifa08 at 1024*768, very slow. And then Call of duty 4 at the same resolution, rather slow. Is your laptop slow? I can't believe that geforce 8400gs is too bad !

The 8400GS is a pretty weak card for gaming.

Yeah...unfortunately that card isn't very good for games. Like sly said, try updating your drivers, but I doubt it will make a real difference. Only thing I can suggest is if you want to play games, drop the resolution down even further and turn most settings to low.

Thats about all you can do with that card.

I hate to assume here but from what you said you had a 160gb hd, the part I assume is you have a 5400 rpm drive which also slows you down. The best thing you can do is update your video drivers (as suggested above) and if at some point you have the cash consider upgrading to a 7200 rpm drive (every little bit helps when it comes to gaming laptops).
