Sounds like you have a little case-flex in your machine. If it really bothers you, exchange it out.

I'll check mine when I get home. Quick question, does yours say dv2500 in the top right or dv2000? I just gone mine and I ordered the 2500 but on the machine it was the other? Whats the deal?

I just got mine 6 hours ago. Mine says dv2000 on it too but it doesn't bother me. As far as the buttons, my left one is a tiny bit lower, can't really notice it. If nothing else is wrong I am definitely not sending it back for something that minor.

This question has been asked a million times. HP didn't change the sticker, nor did they have to. A dv2500t is technically still a 2000 series.

Why would you post a thread, then interrupt this thread and ask the same question? And it's a question that's been asked millions of times, and could have been answered in one simple search.

The search button isn't just for show.

hmm, my buttons are completely stable, no wobbles, and they are the same height. The only issue with mine is the loose vga out bezel, which isn't really that bad.
