I'm all but certain to get a dv2500t (just waiting for the nVidia graphic card option), and I'm fairly certain I'll want to order it with the 12 cell battery.
Can anyone provide information on how much extra weight that 12 cell battery will add?
(My current notebook is an ancient Dell Inspiron 2600--which is quite heavy--so almost anything will be an improvement. I'm just curious about what to expect pound-wise with a new HP dv2500t.)
Thanks,
JRD

The 12 Cell Battery is a about 2 1/4 times the weight of the Standard 6 cell Battery, when I get home I will weight the both of them.

Thanks again for writing that extensive review. Have you been able to compare the weight of the two batteries yet?

Aw, man. You should have waited for the dv6700t. I'm assuming your budget is under $1600, right?

The 12 cell sticks out a LOT and is VERY ugly. it makes it significantly heavier. I know cause I've used both the 6 cell and 12 cell, and it ain't worth it.

It is worth it if you need to use the laptop for long periods of time wothout a adapter
