I had decided to go ahead and pick this up but found that the price has increased $100. Since the thread in the deals section lists this deal as expiring on the 31st, I was wondering if anyone had documentation of the price so I can get it matched? U already tried looking through the latest ad available on the Bestbuy website but had no luck there. If anyone has an add or some type of proof I would really appreciate it. Otherwise I will have to go back to my fretting over what laptop to buy.

i think you're out of luck. the best buy website last week said it was a limited time offer. i'm bummed about this too because it was a sweet deal. but it still is a pretty good deal, especially compared to a similarly equipped dell 1420, plus you can just take it home that day.

I bought mine a few days ago and went back to best buy to buy a mouse. I noted that, indeed, the cost of the 2550 is $100 more than what I paid for it; and also an increase in price at the HP website.

I am thrilled with my purchase and still would be if I paid $100 more. If you can wait, I'm sure there will be another sale in the next month or so. Check the HP website. You can configure it just the way you want.

As to documentation, I can email send a copy of my receipt if it would help. Just send me your address by email.

It'll be back within the next couple weeks. Especially with all the back to school shopping coming up. Best Buy is always like that. You kick yourself thinking you missed a deal and the next time its on it might be better than the first.

Its all about if you can wait or not. I've seen the notebook in person, its pretty nice. I would have jumped on it if it was $899. For those that do have it, does it come with an internal bluetooth module?

No, it does not come with an internal bluetooth module, but you can if you order it from HP. You can also configure it with faster processors if you order it from HP. Incidently, the price at HP went up too...or atleast the value of the offers to upgrade RAM, etc. were reduced.

I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase.

This notebook (dv2550se) is exclusive to Best Buy. You cannot order or configure it through HP. You should be able to add Bluetooth by buying the module separately.
