How common are stuck pixels on new laptops?
I just bought a dv2550se that had a bright green stuck pixel I couldn't fix. I took it back to BestBuy and exchanged it. The new laptop also has a stuck pixel - this one is red and less noticeable. Should I just accept this as normal?

industry standard is 5 or more stuck/dead pixels. good thing BB replaced your system. just maybe take advantage of the warranty to have the lcd replaced. but most probably you'll get a refurbished screen.

Or just exchange it again, tell them this one runs too hot or something.
How is the screen otherwise? Is there any backlight bleed from the bottom? -
I may be lucky, but Best Buy is rather easy to deal with concerning the issue of dead pixels. It is worth a shot to replace the product and see what their response, so long as you are within the return policy.
I guess some of the sales people may not be familiar with each brands pixel policy, so they decide that the product has a defect. -

The screen is pretty nice otherwise. The backlight is evenly distributed, with no noticeable bleed on any edges.
