    I'm deciding between the dv2700t and the Dell inspiron 1420.

    Can anyone comment on the battery life of either of these models? Any other comparisons would also be welcome (specs below).

    Im guessing about the same. Get the 12cell if you need more battery life

    Battery life on a dv2700 is around 1:30 - 2:30 hrs depending on your power settings

    i have the 6cell and on power settings i get near 3 hours with websurfing and word processing.

    Well I do have the 6-cell and the 12 cell battery. the 6 cell gives me about 2 hours and 30 minutes. while the 12 cell battery gives me 6 hours of usage.
