I've been intersted in this laptop and finally it's availiable in the US!
For $999.99, it's a great deal, but I still don't understand why it has a better graphics card than the dv4.

It has up to 400gb hard drive,
    Option for A Backlit keyboard!
Also, There's an option for 8gb memory for $725!

    HP dv3500

It's really nice, but that 8gb ram... They probably want to show that it can have 8gb.

And ya. I live in Honolulu =)

Nice... I don't know whether I like the color or design of the notebook, but the options are nice...

HP also updated some options for other notebooks...

For example, there is an option for the Lightscribe Blu Ray ROM instead of the Lightscribe DVD ROM or the Blu Ray ROM... The wireless card options are different. Now, HP offers 12-cell batteries for the dv4 and dv5 series. I want a 12-cell battery for my dv4t, but sadly... HP is not selling it separately

The $725 upgrade price to 8GB is ridiculous. You can buy 2 single stick of 4GB RAM for $170/each at Newegg, so that's just $340 if you really want 8GB of RAM. So they're basically making an extra $400+ on any sucker who actually gets that upgrade.

Wow, it looks great! Too bad most HP laptops get hot like a *****. Otherwise I'd buy it. 8 GB Ram in 13 inch? LOL Can anyone say infertile?

Anyway, I searched and they're selling it at BestBuy:

    bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9027714&type=product&id=1218010176167

It was on the HP site at least 2 days ago... strange...

Supposedly the dv3500 will no longer be sold by HP and will only be sold exclusively at Best Buy as the dv3510nr.

still why wouldn' t HP feature dv3500 in their site with a link to buy it at BestBuy?...

It makes harder for someone that read about it to find it...
