    Hi,
I try to explain the issue precisely. Thanks in advance for your valuable guide:

    1. dv4-1070ee was with BIOS version F09

    2. There was NOT any USB TV Tuner connected or any TV application installed on the notebook.

    3. I read some articles regarding dv5 problem with webcam and tv tuner, so there was a new Winflash utility for dv5.

    4. So, I checked the driver & support page for dv4. I was informed that HP has provided a new winflash F12 for dv4 too!!

    5. I upgraded notebook to F12 version. Everything was Okay!

    6. At this time I decided to connect my Prolink TV414U USB TV Tuner to the notebook. I did it and its drivers was successfully installed.

    7. Its application in the name of "honestech TVPlay 2.0" was installed successfully too!!

    8. I ran the application. In the first time I saw myself!!! so this meant that TV Tuner application has selected the webcam!!! I went to option menu and chose the proper device. EVERYTHING WAS OKAY AND I HAD TV MOVIES AND SOUND WITH NO PROBLEM.

    9. a few minutes later, I ran "Youcam" application and was wondered when Youcam sent a message like this : No webcam device detected

    10. I checked it out in many ways, from quickplay, etc. but nothing was listed over there!

    11. I went to BIOS menu and chose the "load BIOS defaults" option. It did not resolved the issue

    12. Suddenly, I thought that a re-flashing can resolve the issue. I did it again. From F12 to F12 !!!! (again)

    13. in the next restart I had webcam!!! and every thing was okay!!

    14. No I went to the TV application. I ran it again, at this time: I could see all movies but no sound!!!!

    15. I went to application menus and found that IDT sound driver has been selected but in mixing device it was clear!! and disabled!!!

    16. I tried to increase the volume. immediately, after some increase in volume of TV application a tiny sound was played but it did not make any sense!!! In fact, the sound was unrecognizable!! but it increased and increased just like a resonance phenomena !!! louder and louder... like this :
beeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPP. So i decreased the volume immediately!

    17. after an hour of working on it and reinstalling the application, the problem remained unsolved!!!!

    18. After the last installation, I ejected the CD of TV application from CD sink and closed the sink, I was wondered that the TV application was showing the movies and I heard the voice of cd ejection operation!!! then I spoke with myself and heard it from the TV application!!! it was echo of my sound.

    19. Now, it is obvious that the TV application uses the microphone of webcam as an audio input and play it!!! But why??

    20. I had several chat session with HP support team. They were so kind and did they best for me. But the kindness failed to resolve my issue!!!

    21. The last one told me : use your recovery discs and make a factory set.
this means that All of my installed software and data will be ....

    22. Now, I can play all music and all multimedia properly, EXCEPT the "honestech Tvplay 2.0" with my USB TV TUNER !!!!

    23. I checked prolink site for tv414U USB TV tuner for vista drivers but nothing has been released for vista!!!

    24. Now, I have a lot of XP-base programs and software that have conflict with vista (new fonts required, new drivers and new app. required)

    25. A strange problem is another issue. But I think that two issues are NOT independent. Opening Youcam when the honestech tvplay is running, leads me to sudden death! "BLUE SCREEN" in vista!!!!

Now, Its your turn, if you can help me

Thanks in advance for any kind of information, help, effort, time and kindness.

    Regards
    Golagha
