The bluetooth module is very different. Look for the part number listed in this service guide
Bluetooth module 383459-001 -
I have just fitted the DV4005us with a Bluetooth Internal Module 383459-001 which is available from: http://www.bitsnpcs.co.uk/enduser.cfm? at £50 (including delivery and VAT) it comes with a short cable from HP this is a version 1.2 module but the Modules that come from wireless4laptop on Ebay are identical and are version 2 Bluetooth ,read his page it is very interesting if you intend to fit bluetooth internally on any HP

The only difference on part no's for these modules seem to be which version you get (1,1.2,or2) and the length of cable.(I have seen 20/30 different part no's for the same part)HP are not very helpful if you try to find out the cable lengths so don't waste your time, I did.
The cable comes with a plug to fit module and a motherboard USB2 plug on the other end.
If this doesn't help go search on hp.com for "maintenance and service manual" for your specific model and look for removal/replacement of Bluetooth module ,this will give you an idea of how long your cable is and if you can use the short cable by wireless4laptop.Although someone with reasonable soldering skills could easily modify the short cable to get the correct length,as the hardest bit is to have the correct plugs.
dv4000 bluetooth like this? is it possible?
