This isn't a big deal, but it's annoying. I can turn on the computer and then open the cd drive without any probs. After the computer has been on for awhile it doesn't want to open, either pressing the button or going to "my computer" and selecting "eject". If I sit there and keep pressing it it might open after awhile. It just started doing this not too long ago. The drive reads and writes fine, and when I can get it to open it opens regularly (without any weird noises or something like that).
Anyone else had this problem?

Do you have a disk inserted when this happens. Sometimes I have a delay on my v4000t when it is reading from the disk.
Also don't push the button too fast. Push it once and give it a few seconds. It takes mine around two seconds to eject after I push the button.
Hope this helps some,
Tim -
It can be with or without a disc inserted. I know it takes about 1-2 sec for mine normally, but sometimes when it doesn't open the light will start flashing and then stop and nothing will happen, or the light won't even flash at all.
Then somedays it will act normally and open correctly. At the moment I can get it to open normally. -
Try to remove and re-install the optical drive to see whether it helps. Check the video guide on optical drive in this link.

Thanks for the link, I'll see if it works, today it's been deciding to open all the time, so next time it decides to act up I'll try it.
