I've been looking for a new notebook and came to the HP Pavillion dv4000 or the Dell Inspiron 6000. Right now I'm definitely leaning towards the HP because I like the look better and it was a good deal cheaper for the systems I customized. I was curious about the frontside bus listings though. The Dell had 533MHz while on the hp site they had the dv4000 listed at 400MHz. I've seen on this site that people talk of newer dv4000's having 533MHz and I was wondering if this was true and where that information came from. Any other opinions or recommendations on the systems are welcome. Thanks.

If your processor number is 740, 750, 760, 770 (ending with 0s), then it has 533 bus speed. If your process number ends with 725A (or others ending with 5), then it has 400 bus speed.
