hi guys.. i have a question regarding my hp dv4000.. when i listen to music using itunes or windows media player the sound is clear and loud.. well not loud but decent.. but when i watch movies using windows media player or the software that comes with the notebook for viewing movies, the sound is horrible.. its soft.. the volume is on full blast but still the sound of the movie is soft.. i disabled the soundmax options yet still the same soft sound.. the funny thing is when i play an mp3 with the same volume setting its decent enough to hear in the entire room.. any suggestion guys on what seems to be the problem? thanks....

VideoLan is free and works well if you want to try some differnet software. Update sound drivers or re-install Windows Media Player are a couple other options.
