My dv4t adapter was blown last week. I'm pretty sure it was lightning. I checked with another dv4t adapter and the laptop works fine, so it is the adapter.
Details: Part number 463955-001, 90 watt adapter only, for HP Pavilion dv4t-1000 CTO Entertainment Notebook (KH600AV).
I checked with HP parts online, and they say that the part is currently not available. PCMall has the part, but it's also not in stock. A couple other places listed the part, but were also not in stock.
My main question is how can I find a reputable online dealer? There are a lot of places selling OEM equivalents, but I want to make sure I get an original part, even if it costs a bit more. It also has to be online (within the US), as I'm not in the US right now.
What do you think about this one? - http://stores.channeladvisor.com/inandoutcomputers/items/item.aspx?itemid=1089852 It says it's new in opened box... Not sure how reliable that is.
Thanks!

Bah apparently I can't post the URL I found it at since I dont have enough posts but Staples.com offers it for $80. Do a search for Item: 748865 and it should pull up right away. Free shipping through christmas right now too and there's plenty of coupons (though that irritates me since its generally scamming the company) on ebay and the like if you need them

Well, build up your post count then. ;-)
Thanks for the link. I actually checked on HP again and another department does have the adapter... Not sure what was going on there. It also looks like a lot of people were having trouble with it. -
Sorry that happened to you, the dv 4t is usually pretty reliable.
