It would 5 digits if anything.

    Ex 1. DV51002NR
    EX 2. DV5-1002NR

I don't like the new numbering system. Aside from the extra digit, it looks very much like an older model........

I know, but it really makes it feel different. Like with the old number system a newer version would come out every few months. It went from DV9500 to DV9700. I guess this way it just stays DV7T or DV5T the entire time. They just have the less seen numbers to distinguish it. I much prefer it this way. You won't feel like crap when a new model comes out.

On a side note, it is late and I didn't proofread my last post... lol So here's a quick fix.

It would be* 5 digits if anything.

I bought a 12 cell for my dv5 1008ca from ebay. just got it today and it fits great. tested it and ran a dvd for over 3 hours with battery to spare. shipped to canada in 7 days. it says hp on the back but im sure its a knock off. anyway just thought some dv5 owners might want to be able to use there system for more than a hour. battery cost me 144.0 including shipping to canada from china
    :)

There are quite a few sellers on Ebay. Batterystars is selling a lot of them. I don't know how trustworthy these are though. Any opinions/thoughts?

I'm tempted to order one from ebay, BLAZINLOW, are you happy w/ the purchase? How about posting a pic?? =) Which seller was it??? I'm hesitant to getting ripped off from a seller in China...

The issue is not so much getting "ripped off" by a seller in China --- the problems have more to do with shipping to and from China. If you think you might have to return or exchange the product, some buyers report that when they attempt to send the product back, the sellers don't always receive them. Also, shipping to and from China is very expensive, so that is something else to consider.
