The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    dv5000t PCMCIA Card Bus

    Can anyone post what their Device Manager displays for the subject device:

    i.e.

    PCMCIA adapters -> Texas Instruments PCIxx12 Cardbus Controller

    PCMCIA and Flash memory devices -> Texas Instruments PCIxx12 Integrated FlashMedia Controller

    Now this is what mine reads today (after a windows re-install) but I'm certain that it did not look that way before... pretty sure it was showing something a little different...


    If you don't know how to access device manager, use these steps (1 of several ways to get there):

    Right-click on "My Computer" and Click on "Manage" ...
    Click "Device Manager" from the System Tools tree and in the left pane expand the PCMCIA option(s).
