    dv51235dx goes to sleep randomly

    I have a hp1235dx laptop that's a few months old and ever since i got it the laptop will go to sleep 3 times when its only running on battery power and only when the battery is at 50%-60%. Also when i put the laptop out of sleep the battery icon will say that it is at a critical level i.e.(3%) but immediately after it will go back to 50-something %. So basically my laptop thinks that its battery is going to die and as a result it goes to sleep even though it's actually at 50-something %. I'd like to diagnose this instead of having to ship the computer to HP. Thanks in advance!
