    Hi all,
I'm about to buy an HP apparently only available in the middle east, I'm staying in Dubai... it;s a 5000 series but with the following specs http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/me/e...770865-1770865-1770865-12358922-73257985.html

what I don;t understand is that the graphics memory is mentioned as 256mb turbocache memory, and the guy at the store confirmed it's a 7600 card, how could this be true ?

also after you review the specs, can you tell me if I'm making a good decision, as I was very close to getting a Vaio FE550g but the difference in processor speed and graphics made me consider the HP, I currently have a Dv1000 with no problems at all, except a little overheating but I haven't seen a notebook yet that doesn't make your laps sweat after 30 mins :)

    thanx in advance

It should be a 7400, the 7600 is only currently offered in the dv8000 series. Might be a mistake on the part of the sales person or got confused with the specs on the dv8000t. Currently they only offer the Go 7400 atleast here in the US...

As for the rest of the specifications look good, the Core Duo with 1GB RAM is a fast combination. The 7400 should be fine for light gaming.

i'm confused whether to buy this PC or go for the Dell inspiron e1505 that i can import with 2.0 Ghz 2.0 GB RAM 120 GB harddisk and 256 ATI X1400.

considering they will cost the same

note that the Dell comes with Windows MEdia Center.

    Any one can advice???
