    Hi,

Does the dv5t come with a media reader by default, or is that an add-on accessory?

On mine, on the left side, closest to the front of the computer, I see two slots (SD MS/PRO MMC XD is written above them) . One is covered by a piece of metal that looks like it may be able to be pulled out, but I haven't tried. The other is below that. It is just a hole that looks like a memory card can fit into, but I am not sure whether it is active or not.

    Thanks.

Yeah, the one on top is the PC express card reader. The metal covering is just a dummy card to fill the empty slot. Just press it and it should pop out.

The media card reader (5 in 1) is the one below the PC express cards slot without any cover.

    Thanks!

I am having massive brain freezes today, so I apologize if I am asking stupid questions...

My Dad has an Olympus camera and wants to upload pictures from it using the memory card -- so given that by default I have the 5 in 1 reader according to your response, I can just push the card into the bottom slot and it should all work? How do you eject it?

    Thanks.

Well, depends on what type of media card the Olympus uses. if it is one of the cards the reader supports then, yes, you can push it into the card reader. The card shouldn't go fully inside the card reader. It will stick out a bit and once you are done just pull it out. BTW, a card can only go in in one orientation. If it doesn't seem to fit or fits very loosely then dont force it in.

on my dv2500 you push the card in and just pull it out, on my girlfriends dell you push it in, it clicks and to get it out you push it in deeper and its pops out with a spring thing.
