    Why is it that every time I turn on my laptop and try to connect to a network, it takes like 5 minutes before any networks show up the on list. I'm only 10-15 feet away from my 802.11BGN router, so what's the deal here?

    Have you updated the drivers on your wireless adapter? I had the same problem develop on a desktop that had a wireless adapter installed internally.

    Updating the drivers solved the problem. :)
