This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     dv5t backlight bleed

    I'm running the standard 1280x800 screen and have noticed quite a bit
    of backlight bleed. It is only visible on the bottom edge. For normal web
    surfing, etc., this is not a problem, but when viewing DVDs with black
    borders, I find it distracting.

    Anyone else notice the same thing? I was going to call Hp about it, but
    if they all have the same problem, I guess there's no point in sending it
    in for exchange, etc.
