My dv5t for some reason will occasionally not charge the battery after I plug it in to the AC adapter. It'll just stay there at whatever percentage it was when I plugged it in. It'll say it's charging and the light on the front panel is on, but it's not actually charging.

It will curiously correct itself at some point. Is it because the laptop is too hot? This seems to have happened while I was playing games on battery, then when it was about to die, I'd plug it in -- only to find that the battery won't charge. The laptop is pretty hot at that point.

    Thanks!

Over heating your battery is good way of shorting it's life, I'm guess you have a AC around, because you stated it, why not use it for playing

Normally it is plugged in. In the rare case I start playing without it plugged in is where the issue is noticed.
