Help, i need help, starting from yesterday i cant seems to access my hard drive. everytime i try to go into my computer then double click on the hard drive, it would enter but then freeze and becomes non-responsive. i cant enter the folders like programs, user, windows...etc, it would just freeze. i have no problem other drives such as removable flash drive, this only happens with the hard drive. i have to close explorer but then my desktop would be blank with just my wallpaper, so i would need to restart or log off but it will take forever. also i notice my hard drive LED is always on and the temperature is getting really hot, it never happened before and i ran scans with avg and it shows i hav no virus or spyware.

so idk wat is the problem, it happened all of the sudden it was fine 2 days ago, pls help me out

this is just a suggestion but try booting in safe mode and see if the problem goes away, then do a complete virus scan (with up to date virus definitions) while in safe mode. another option you can try is using the system restore to restore to previous date when the problem didn't exist.

I would suggest testing the Hard drive out with HP diagnostics. When the unit is booting and you see the HP welcome screen ht F10 and go into Diagnostics. Test the Hard drive and see if it passes if it does then you can move on with the SW troubleshooting. If it fails you can call 1 800 HP INVENT to get it replaced if still under warranty.
