I'm kind've getting the impression that other people get maybe a popup or something on their screen that shows their volume meter when they're adjusting it. I don't get any indication, and it's a little annoying having to check the icon at the bottom right. Also, I've been using a gadget to see my volume level but it tends to lock up after a while until I close and restart it. Anyone know what's up with my on screen volume display?

It's probably turned off by default because it is buggy. My 9700t also doesn't have the onscreen display, though I don't have an issue with it since I just set it to what I want by ear.

From all reports it seems like it is extremely buggy so maybe HP started turning it off by default.
