So lately my screen on my laptop has been randomly cutting in and out on me. when it does it usually looks something like this for a second or two and then just goes back to normal.

Along with this it also occasionally freezes completely and slowly starts turning white and then just snaps back to normal. It seems to have the most problems when i am watching a video or something especially when its in full screen. Also it doesn't happen to any other monitors i connect to my laptop.

my first thoughts when it started happening was that it was probably something wrong with a connection to my screen or possibly my video card. anybody have any other idea what might be causing this and what it might take to fix it?
