I've had my dv5t with digital tuner since August and my LCD tv forever and today is the first day I realized I get qam channels off my basic cable. I've got them programmed into my tv and get the locals and many crazy channels. I didn't have my dv5t with me since my power adapter is at my parents house and just wondered if the tuner supported qam channels. Also if it does support them, how does Vista Media Center work with them.

Yeah it should since its a digital tuner.

Have you tried scanned for channels with VMC?

VMC does not support clear qam except in those very rare desktops that have the bios support. However, you can get them by using the quickplay and scaning for digital cable.
