Not sure what the light is for, on the bottom left, there is the power light, the electric bolt light, and the 3 cds on top of each other light... (lol) but suddenly it seems the cd one is blinking out of control very quickly, i don't think i have ever noticed it blinking so much.. I also noticed when i push against the bottom right middle, on the bottom of the right mouse click, i can hear a click like a mouse click, but it does nothing.

edit: I restarted the laptop, its not going off like a strobe light anymore... well can anyone else check if the have a similar physical defect like mine on the bottom? Don't lift the laptop up and try, just lay it down and push up/forward and check if it clicks, try it through the whole bottom.

Those CDs are supposed to represent hard disk platters, so its your HD activity light.

This is likely Vista's caching feature at work; its called SuperFetch. Basically, Superfetch is a performance enhancing service that uses any unused RAM to store data files and libraries should they be needed. This follows the memory management philosophy that "unused RAM is wasted RAM".

So when you shut down Crysis, you are basically freeing up a ton of RAM that Vista immediately begins to cache with data that it thinks you may use in the near future.
