    I really wanted the dv5t but I guess ya (I) can't a;ways get what I want.

I built this hv5z on hp's site, what do you think about it? Is it good or would I be better off getting a different platform? Like the dv6?
This will just be used for college; email ,internet, homework, watching videos, a couople games like (general's zero hour)---but I'm not too much into gamming at all.

For $1500 you can do far better. Also, don't buy ram from HP. They charge way too much. You can save $50 by buying it from newegg.

Nice, but watch for HP coupons (upper left corner of this page) to bring that price down to a more reasonable level.

Might as well add Bluetooth. Blu-ray would be nice to have if you have a HDTV with HDMI that you can hook up your notebook to and if US Snail won't lose your Netflix movies (grrrr).

Do you really need a 500GB HD? Your notebook has an eSATA port, you could get a huge eSATA HD for the price diff between a 250GB drive and that 500GB. Not so portable but faster and great for backups. That's if you really need the space.
