This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    is it possible to change 15.6 LED hd screen to 1600x900 AUO panel...

    There is a modding thread working on this as well as a backlit-keyboard: http://forum.notebookreview.com/hp-...91-modding-dv6t-dv7t-quad-edition-2011-a.html

    It might not be possible because higher resolutions (like 900p) require a second connection (I think) whereas with the DV6, the people who opened it don't recall seeing a second connection for the monitor. But keep checking the thread and we'll see.
