    Hi guys!

I just installed a fresh windows7 64 bit on my 1 day old dv6 3030TX and as expected windows seems to have installed most of whats needed. however!

even though it detects wireless networks (since the drivers must be installed) no matter what I do I can't connect to my home network. password is correct and all that.. we have 5 other laptops that connects just fine.

THen I tried to plug my iphone in via usb to do internet tethering! hey guess what, it finds the iphone, but never installs the software or recognizes the tethering internet.

    I mean ?!?!

Is this thing just cut off completely!!

    anyone got any ideas? thanks

Just a thought, but I think if I were faced with this problem I would first go to the DV6 drivers page here at MBR and download the latest chipset drivers and install them. IF.... for whatever reason... the chipset is not installed correctly the communication buses wil either function incorrectly or not at all. If that didn't work I think I'd just do another fresh install if that's as far as you have gone.

I am trying to DL all the HP drivers off hp.com on my old laptop to transfer them and install on the new... I hope that helps! Everything seemed to work fine out of the box when I got it, but there is sooo much bloatware and stuff on default (and not win7 ultimate and so on) that I surely needed a fresh install, also to setup my own partitions. Anyway, ill report back soon.

IF anyone have any ideas in the meanwhile feel free!

Good deal. I just did a fresh install of Win 7 64 Pro on a DV2700tv this week. Went like clock work. Before I started checking everything though, I installed all the most current drivers. Chipset, Video, Audio,...etc.
