My dv6 i7 came with youcam 3.5 and it worked fine for a while but now the screen is almost totally black and can barily see the outline of a light if I point the built in camera directly at it. I set the youcam parameters everywhere and then to default but nothing helps. Thanks for any advice. I installed an intel 510 SSD and man is this thing fast and works good but the issue was there before the clone job. HP made me feel like a bad customer for upgrading to the SSD but the original HD failed after 1 month and I was tired of HD failures.
    Thanks for any pointers.

OK I upgraded to youcam 5 and still same thing. I installed a HP VGA camera via USB and it shows up fine. Went to device manager and updated driver for the original HP TrueVision HD built in camera and it says that I have the latest thing. Now, maybe I should attempt to re-load this driver? If so where would I find it and how would I do it ? I don't want to screw this up.
    Thanks !!
