    whats the difference between the 1300 and 2000 models , they seem to be the same ?

    Windows 7 plus the AMD version gets the new cpu + platform.

    What's the difference between the existing AMD processors and the new Turion II CPUs in the new HP laptops?

    The most prominent change is probably the change in the manufacturing process down from 65nm to 45nm. Plus, there are also tweaks to the core including a 128 bit FPU unit. The expectation is that it should consume less power and provide improved performance over the previous gen.

    Also, the clock speed for the series as a whole has increased from 2.4GHz for the previous gen to 2.6GHz.

    i meant the two new models (1300 and 2000) seem to be exactly the same as each other, i cant see a difference between them,

    not the difference between the new and old models

    so can anyone tell me the difference between the new models themselves (1300 and 2000)
