I have this computer, I can usually get about 2 and a half hours on battery using wifi and having the screen on the lowest setting, along with using the power saver option. The webcam isn't the greatest, but it does get the job done.

u can go to hp's website and configure the new one for about the same price with comparable specs. i went ahead and matched the config for u. for the plastic shell dv6 it would cost $739.99 after instant rebate and before taxes. for the metal one it would be $789.99. IMHO u should go with the metal aas its a much better value. right now they have a free upgrade to blu-ray rom and the 512mb graphics card is included. U can sign up for HP academy discounts if u are a student or an educator and save about 10% plus instant rebate, or u can sign up for bing cash back and save 10% with occasional 25% offers.
