When playing I normally get temperatures ranging from the low-mid 70s with the fan quite loud.

When a buddy of mine plays, his laptop fan doesn't even make much, if any noise. Weird thing is, his laptop is much older and can't even play Hell dificulty(3rd highest difficulty) because of bad his graphics card is.

Is this normal for this computer to make so much noise? I wouldn't think it is, but then again, this is the first computer game I have played on this computer.

Yes the Sandy dv6 can produce fan noise like a jet plane.

Precisely, It is the design of dv6-6xxx that make the fan noise .Small fan, small vent, weird exhaust etc.

Especially on title that keep gpu load @ 90+%.
