When will we see the dv6000 (15.4 inch) series at a higher native resolution like 1680x1050?

When HP makes it. Seriously, us as consumers don't really know what HP's plans are for such a thing unless they announce it, in which case you would know about it too.
And I doubt that an HP employee surfing these boards can just disclose information out like that. If HP didn't put out the info, there must be a reason for it. I dont think its a good idea for some employee to leak out info about future plans. -
I would not hold my breath.

I'm hoping they upgrade the native resolution by next fall. btw, where would hp post announcements like this?
-
Most likely on the configuration page for custom orders...it won't be an announcement and the option will just pop up.
If you really want a 15.4" WSXGA+ HP notebook I would encourage you to look at the nc8430 and the nx7400. -
you COULD swap out the LCD, but no garuntees that the system would support the resolution.
-
They used to offer WSXGA+ on it a few years back. Must not have sold many of them.
-
I'm hoping they add it back since of all the "HD" hype and since their competitor Dell E1505 also has WSXGA+.

yeah I'd love to see a higer res. When I output my dv6000 via S-Video to my 50" plasma (widescreen) I get these thin black bars on side and a little at top. Even the TV zoom does nothing to get rid of that. I'm assuming its the output res on the laptop . Wish there was some way I can get rid of those lines and fit to my full screen.
-
i wish that they will do that soon. I'm thinking of buying a laptop and the i really love Pavilion's design. But then because of the 1200 x 800 resolution, i think i will have to buy something else that supports 1680 x 1050. if by march they still not offering that, i guess i will have to buy Dell Inspiron (but i do not like the design). Owh well, i can only hope..

Is there any software that can boozt resultion someway so I can at least get the S-Video output to my plasma without those black line at top when viewing widescreen and normal screen. It just doesn't fit the whole screen thats all.

I have the same problem but I need a laptop by May.
