I have a new dv6000z laptop that has a Turion X2 TL-52 and I am wanting to undervolt it. I had a dv5000z that I was able to successfully undervolt and make the laptop run a lot cooler and extend battery life. Upon getting my new dv6000z I thought this would work as well. I went through all the paces of running Prime95 on both cores and lowering the voltage to the lowest point where the machine wouldn't BSD. However I have figured out a strange problem.

If I have RMClock controlling the voltage my bluetooth card will randomly stop working. It drops out of the system and the bluetooth stack can't find the device. I have gotten a replacement card from HP and still the same result (so I have an extra BT card :) ) The card works fine if RMClock isn't controlling the voltage.

I have tried to increase the voltage at each multiplier with RMClock to no avail. I'm pretty sure that the wireless/BT card is a PCI-E card and so the voltage changes to the CPU shouldn't affect that bus but I could be wrong.

    Any ideas?

    thanks

    Matt

what OS are using? if its XP then u cud try NHC and see if undervolting there works and doesnt cause the same problem.

undervolting the cpu shudnt affect the card watsoever unless the method used to undervolt somehow affects the card, ie the undervolting reduces power to the system across the board at varying levels?

I am using XP Pro right now and I tried using NHC. With NHC I wasn't able to set the voltage settings. Is there some special setting that I have to set or does NHC not support a dv6000z turion x2 very well?

    thanks
