I've never heard of such an item... (or course I wasn't "looking" so such so I may have overlooked it.)

I'd suggest you contact HP directly to ask them if they have such an item. Hunt around on HP site for a listing of accessories that fit your model.... I was researching something else on another model and HP does have a listing of accessories that fit xyz model...

PS: I would think such an item would be offered on a "business" class model notebook. I'm assuming you want to travel, have a docking port to take with you?

I'll follow-up your suggestion... I find HP searches frightening, though Much Better in recent months... HP hasn't helped me get what I want since I do not have the appropriate product "name" ("expansion," "cable," etc.) or code... that's what I'm looking for.

My analog is the huge klunking and very useful xc1000 cable I use on my HP R3230. I want to avoid purchasing a DOCKING PORT for the new HP dv6000.

I know somebody knows what I need to know. Thanks, and cheers :)

Keep in mind during your search the dv search is divided into the AMD and INTEL cpu'd machines.

The AMD being a dv6000z, and the Intel being a dv6000t

That might help you doing a "search" if your model is new to the market. Takes HP about 2-3 months to get up the pages /info on new models.

yep, and what is available for dv6000t at HP for $199.99 (free standard shipping) is the xb3000 expansion base, similarly available on eBay from $65+11.50S&H to well...!

I'll pass for the moment, but thanks for your help & cheers.
