    A week ago I bought a dv6308nr from HP, it`s a very cool laptop.

Today during use, when I was typing some texts in word, the note screen turned off, a few seconds later the sound stops, and then the pc shutdown.

All lights goes off, the HD and cooler idem. So I press the power button and windows starts again. All my software are open, files, etc... just like it was before.

The windows get in hibernate state, anyone knows why this happen? By the way, the laptop isn`t hard enough to shutdown because that.

All I can think of is that you hit the "Sleep" key (I'm not sure HP notebooks have one?) or at least Windows thought you did. Or... you ran low on battery power and the notebook went into emergency shutdown. Not sure.

    Hello Brian,

thanks for your reply... My Hp don't have a sleep key, windows could thought that I press one, without one in the laptop?

Running in low battery isn't the case because I`m plugged on energy at my house, and the battery isn't in the laptop.

Doing various things at the same time, I've typed the wrong word...

I wanted to mean: The laptop isn't warm enough to shutdown because that .

    Soryy ;)
