I used a SVGA cable to connect my laptop to the back of my Sony SXRD HDTV, which has a PC IN section. I used a mini stereo cable to get the audio working.

The only problem I have is that the picture doesn't take up the full screen. I can it to display wide, just like the laptop monitor. However, there's only a little bit of black space all around. It's not FULL HD. It's like an inch of space around. I played around with the settings on the TV under the PC IN connection, trying to get it display the full screen, but it won't work.

The resolution I use on my laptop to get it looking the best I can get it is 1280 x 720. With 1280 x 800, the display on the TV is too small. Using 1280 x 600, the TV shows "Out of Range".

Anyone else have problems like this? Any solutions?
