    Hi.

I have a HP Pavilion dv6238ea and it had xp on it and the webcam driver i downloaded from hp.com worked fine. Then i formatted it and installed windows 7 32bit in it.
Windows 7 detected the webcam and installed the driver. The webcam shows as ''HP Webcam 1000" and the manufacturer is "Micro Vision" and also the driver is provided by 'Micro Vision'. But it doesn't work. It only shows a black screen.

I downloaded the vista driver from hp.com for my laptop( http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&os=2093&product=3366718) but it is not able to install. It gives an error.

There is no available driver for windows 7 for this laptop (or any dv6000 series i think) on hp.com

Can anyone help in solving this?

Brothers, I have HP dv6409tx and its webcam is not working in both XP and Vista. I have opened and checked camera details. On its back details are

    CT: DA02501 CHUUKKO
    AI 005746025 F/W0210
    CMN5746 (VT. FOR AT68)

Is it chicony, ricoh or hp? Drivers?

I have used all drivers available on this site or else. Please help. In USB controllers something is showing up as 'Unknown Device'.

    PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP
