They got replaced by the better, cooler, newer dv9500t and dv6500t.

Edit: You can still buy stock 9000 and 6000 models at retailers like Best Buy.

    It's still there. It's called the Crown Victoria. ;) :p :p :p :p

As for the OP, I was considering one of the older models until it disappeared from the site today. My intention was to save a few bucks, but it looks like the new one went down a few bucks in the process. All is good I guess. :D

I noticed the same. My guess would be that supply ran low, so they pulled it from the CTO configurator. HP often does this to adjust for inventory, and a good many options changed on the other units as well today.

Anyway, the 4GB option was hardly a deal. Aftermarket 2GB sticks would be around half the price.

I plan on buying a 9500t this week, I was just making sure it is still compatible with 4gb. I will be getting the 64bit OS also. I wasn't planning on buying the ram from HP, just wanted to make sure there wasn't a problem.

Put 4GB in my dv9500. It shows up as about 3GB in Windows (32bit) though.

And yeah, you can get 4GB elsewhere for about $200, while HP is charging $600!!!

What is wrong with the ones they have? They are both a decent step up from the previous generation.

They already launched the dvx500 series with new cards. I wouldn't be holding your breath that anything new is going to show up any time soon.

I see they have the dv6000t and dv2000t back and also they have a 4GB RAM option on the dv6500t, but not the dv2500t.

Sure, but you will have to purchase a separate copy of 64bit Vista Home Premium.
