    First, what is the HP Connections program? It's set to run at startup, but I can't seem to figure out what it is.

    Second, is there any way to customize the media buttons? The beeping noise every time I change the volume and accidentally clicking the dvd button are slightly annoying.

    I think you can disable the beeping noise in the BIOS
