Most desktops have problem playing crysis at a good res so notebooks arent really ideal to begin with

You need at least 8600m GT to play decent enough

A 8400m GS will be no good.. not even a GT

depends on how you define decent. Personally i like playing games at over 35fps on high settings. Somehow i dont see that happening for Crysis

Hmmm.... I just finished the game on "Very High" but at a really low resolution 1024x768 (my native res being 1920x1200) and it averaged maybe 20-25 I'd say.... I didn't run anything to know the exact FPS, but that'd be my estimate. Sometimes (actually quite a few times) it dropped to say around 10 or so.... But that's the sad way I like to game! :p
    And that's on a 8800M GTX !!
    ^^^ That was on Vista 64-bit DX10.

EDIT: Maybe the custom configs helped out.... I used Natural Mod, and Triple C pack.
