    Hey all,

I am getting my dv6000t in about an hour or so, and I was wondering, will i see much of a difference in performance on the comp if I do a clean install vs. just deleting the bloatware manually? Also, is there a list of the stuff that is safe to get rid of on a recent HP? Thanks all.

clean install makes sure you get everything...even those programs that like to return after you delete them.

is there is a list of the programs that HP typically has on their comps that reinstall themselves?

I wouldnt call it a reinstalling themselves but rather they wont be properly deleted. Some(many) programs even if they are uninstalled will still leave behind traces of themselves(registr entries, files, folders) behind. Trying to get rid of all of these is practically impossible, so doing a clean install will get rid of this and you can install whatever program you want. Ofcourse the remamnents pf the old programs wont hinder your computer too much but many people prefer to have a virgin Windows installation rather than filled with clutter.
