my hp pavilion dv6116eu is not holding a charge. It stays at 0% - even though it says its charging. if i pull out the ac adapter while its on, it will switch the laptop off instantly. wat can i do? ive tried reinstalling the battery driver, but that didn't help...

How old is the laptop? Try looking up the battery wear level by checking up power management in Everest Ultimate Edition or by using Battery Bar.

i got the laptop in 2006. Everest says the wear level is 47%. the thing is is that this problem has just happened instantly...and before that, ive not had any problems with the battery...

Try charging it for at least 12 hrs at a stretch. I still remember it happened to my old Toshiba once. Charging it for 12 hrs reset the battery.
